received close to 12,000 calls from concerned citizens, doctors, teachers and police about children who might be in need of protection
investigated 1,635 cases of physical abuse, 209 of sexual abuse, 134 of emotional abuse and 669 of neglect
served over 7,000 families in need of financial, emotional or other support.
