Infant Wellness Emergency Supply Cupboard

Infants

Being a parent to an infant or toddler isn’t easy, especially for those doing it on their own.

The Infant Wellness Fund provides medical and infant supplies to a community-based program run by Peel Children’s Aid which offers training and support to underprivileged parents (often single mothers) of babies aged up to eighteen months.

The program, run by registered nurses, is intended to help parents of infants learn to properly care properly for their children, and prevent babies from coming in to foster care. Many of the parents in the program did not have positive role models from whom to learn about parenting, so the knowledgeable and compassionate assistance from specially trained nurses, along with the donation of basic necessities such as diapers, formula and safety equipment, can make all the difference in keeping families together where they belong.
